Yeah, the good old boys. Man, have you heard the last Boggs album? They went from good hillbilly music to lame electro-rock music. One guy kep the name and totally changed their sound. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteGem and I went to see them in a little pub in London as part of this music fest and no one knew who they were. Seriously. This one guy asked me their name and then as soon as the rest of the pub found out that someone knew who they were, they kept coming over and asking me. After the 7th time, I was getting pissed! I'm trying to enjoy the show here.
I really only know the Boggs through you, truth be told. And that's only because you put them on a "Best of" back in 2002 or something.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen them referenced or spoken about in any sort of music-based arena of discussion. You're probably behind all of this, aren't you? Some sort of Lou Pearlman of bumpkin beat?
