Oasis - It's Getting Better (Man)

    You know, I know that we used to have a yearly check up of the old Brit-pop champs and "Be Here Now" was often talked about. Recently, I put the album on my computer and through a randomness of the shuffle feature, the computer happened to choose a selection of pretty good, pretty positive songs from that album. Here's what resulted:

    My Big Mouth
    Stand By Me
    It's Getting Better, Man
    Don't Go Away
    The Girl in the Dirty Shirt
    I Hope, I Think, I Know

    Now, if you were to just add "Stay Young" from the first single, you'd have a good start to following up "Morning Glory" and I'm certain (just a moment while I don my "thesis cap" here) that if Be Here Now hadn't had any of that epic nonsense and Noel had saved a few choice B-sides from the previous album, it might have not gone all wrong for the boys in '97. In fact, I'm convinced that it would have been a better record than Morning Glory. It would have been an album to make you feel good about things.

    But still... let's 'ave it, mate! All my people, right here, right now!
