Do you think Eugene Kelly was the Hayden of Glasgow? Lots of early promise, sort of petered off? Have a better comparison?
ReplyDeleteNah - Kelly would never "shhh" people at shows or berate them for smoking cigarettes. As much as I have enjoyed Hayden over the years, I always found him to be a little too precious for his own good.
ReplyDeleteAs for Eugenius - I once saw them play this really odd one-off show in London at this venue above a pub somewhere off-Camden St.
It seemed like the 20 of us or whatever had interrupted their rehearsal. This was two years after their last album and they played new songs that to this date have never seen the light of day. Where are those songs now?
I really like these guys, you know.
