    Adam, did you used to go to the Chunk Soup Raves/Punk Shows in Calgary? Were you head of the circle mosh?

    I have not doubt, not even the slightest, that this is exactly what my brother Michael's Friday night looks like...scratch that: Monday night.

    My first "mosh" was at the Westward Club in 1990 or something. DOA was playing, along with Joker or some other local band.

    I felt as close to death yet more alive than I had in all my brief 17 years.

    My moshing experienced lasted until about '93, culminating in - if I do say so myself - a fairly impressive barrier dive to crowd surf during the Ramones set at InFest '93 in High River. It was executed perfectly in time with "Blitzkreig Bop."

    That, my friend, was the capstone to my days in the pit.
