Man or Astro-man? - "Lo Batt"

    Who were Man or Astroman fans? I mean, who would they tour with? I know that they were put on some Warp Tours (the punks probably hated them) but who were their comptemporaries? I can't think of one. Palo Alto?

    Warped Tour? You're crazy, Mentanko. That is a complete fabrication. MOAM? were from space. They had no contemporaries... maybe GWAR.

    But I will tell you this: in 1994 I attended one of the very first Warped Tours (maybe the first?) in Portland, OR. It was supposed be out in this field, but the attendance was low so they moved it to this bar called La Luna that is no longer there. There were a couple of vert ramps in the parking lot, and maybe one merch booth, and that's about it.

    The line-up, you ask? Well, a few unheard of nobodies called No Doubt and Sublime were buried in the bill. I think L7, Quicksand, and No Use For A Name were the big draws - fluf played... Seaweed.. Orange 9mm, maybe? Not a stellar line-up as it turns out. Fun show, mind you.
